Traveled to two countries new to me – Croatia and Israel, and I organized the trip to the latter myself, and went there all alone too.
Wrote a dozen heartfelt paper letters and just as many lyrical poems (and don't ask me to show them).
Listened to music at the Tundra, Mėnuo Juodaragis, Organic Forest, and Skaņu mežs festivals, a Kimmo Pohjonen concert, “Acoustic Folium” concerts, and others.
Danced at a dozen raves and discos: at the pretentious provincial club “Moscow” last New Year's, the underground joint “Pekarnya”, and various informal parties.
Played “Mafia” and board games many times.
Met, probably, a whole hundred new people; I like many of them, and I hope to keep seeing them from now on.
Got laser eye surgery at the “New Vision” clinic in Vilnius.
Completed a ten-day “Vipassana” meditation course. Probably the hardest thing I did this year, or maybe even in my life.
Hosted three couchsurfers (agreed to more, but they only ended up coming three times) and a couple more familiar and unfamiliar people who needed to crash for the night but had nowhere to go.
Went on 7 hikes, 151 km in total length, and as for how much I cycled, it's hard to even say, maybe 30 or 40 rides.
Organized 4 bike rides, one of them – ethnographic, about Emilia Plater
Published 273 posts/links on the blog and on Facebook.
Spent 42 hours at yoga, 40 swimming, 73 – riding my bike, and 34 – pumping iron (maybe more, but not everything was recorded), hit the gym 145 times.
Went to the Rothko Museum (as many as three times), the Balta Nakts contemporary art forum in Riga, and many other cultural events: jazz concerts, retro cabarets.
Read 10 or so books; especially liked “The Third Sex”.
Watched about twenty movies, liked all of them, but most of all – Now You See Me and Oz the Great and Powerful
Participated in an art exhibition with the laser project “Reflections”, which took place in the fortress's powder magazine.
Co-organized a book club (it's a secret for now, we'll see how it goes)
Donated blood 1 time.
I want to do more, better, and go further, of course, but even so, the year wasn't wasted.
